Taking that first step to build a private practice exposes us to the business side of the mental health world. For most of us group practice owners, that is where we started. But slowly, if we played our cards right, we were ready to grow beyond a single practicitioner practice and build something bigger with so much more potential.
Suddenly things like systems and office culture start to matter. In an instant there are clients of the practice that you may never meet. We have to shift our thinking yet again...not with business savvy decision making but adding in vision and leadership into the mix.
This is a place where some practices struggle...
---How do I position my practice for more opportunities?
---How do I ensure that the clinicians on my team share my values for practice?
---How do I prepare myself for this new role and really make an impact?
